I think this gorgeous heart pinboard from Plumo might cheer me up a little after the shock news of Domino Mag closing it's doors. Anna from ABT got me hooked only a little over a year ago, but I really did sweat it out each month waiting for my next issue to arrive. Actually, it was only last night I emailed Anna and asked her what she thought of the latest issue and that it was pretty thin. We both agreed we weren't fussed on the current issue and now I can see why.
Good-bye dear friend, it was short and sweet but oh so good. Well at least for me. Not sure who I'm going to replace you with. I will miss you! xox
I love having fresh flowers in our home. This is a photo I took on the weekend of a little bunch I have on our island bench in the kitchen. The vase is a vintage hobnail milkglass vase I bought on eBay.
On Sunday we celebrated William's 3rd Birthday with a Wild Animal themed party. The highlight of the day was a presentation from Gecko's Wildlife. We had two snakes, a crocodile, three lizards, a frog, a tawny frog mouthed owl, two turtles and a squirrel glider in our house. The kids were absolutely mesmerised for an entire hour.
We also hired a jumping castle which has become a staple at our birthday parties. The pool was also a hit.
Even though we are still in sweating it out here in Brisbane, I've started looking for autumn/winter wardrobes for Olivia and William.
I love the fact that I can visit just two stores - Seed and Country Road - and get everything I want for the kids clothing/accessory wise. For shoes I love Betts Kids. Whilst I love to shop, I need to shop quickly. I don't like to browse.
Ever since I read about Canadian artist Janet Hill I've been obsessed with her little treasures. Janet normally offers one or two paintings a day on etsy but you have to be quick! I've been been pipped at the post a few times during the check out process.
Here is a collection of Janet's paintings I have hanging in my studio office at home. I purchased the desk from eBay. But what I love the most is my chair. It's an antique captains chair from the 1800's also purchased on eBay.
