The lost tooth

Today was a BIG day in our house. Olivia lost her first tooth.

Proud as punch

The tooth has been lose for over a month now and much anticipation has been building over past few days. This morning I asked Olivia if I could have a wobble (as I do each day to check on the tooth status), however this time I also reached for a tissue and just calmly pulled it out.

Olivia was in shock! With the blood and the new feeling of the missing tooth I thought she was going to pass out. Seriously. Between her and her Dad you would have thought someone was injured.

Daddy and Olivia

Many tears from Daddy and Olivia later (well, only a few from Daddy) and we set up the much anticipated Fairy Door ..........

Fairy door

and here is the little box she choose to place her tooth in. The key for the Tooth Fairy to unlock the door and enter her bedroom and the glitter she will leave behind her when she departs.

Patiently waiting

Oh the magic of being a child. If you would like to purchase your on customized Fairy Door click here.

  9. The fairies spend a lot of time coming in and out of our fairy door. Now I have 4 kids losing teeth, the fairies have had to take out another mortgage! Love the photos you captured of this special event.

  10. Once again, you have me floored....and flawed. A tooth fairy door! With a teeny tiny key! My kids are so ripped off. Last time one of them lost a tooth I accidentally threw it away and forgot to leave out the money. When she asked where the tooth fairy money was we had to LIE(!)and tell her that the tooth fairy only visits on a Thursday, but sometimes she sends a "tooth elf" ahead to collect the teeth. Argh. Worst of all, one of her friends got paid $5 for a tooth, while she only got 50c...."What's up with that?" she asked us. The next child that loses a tooth is visiting Aunty Sharnel! Meredy xo.
