Tough days

I've had a trying day.  Lots of tears, all from me.  Without going into details, this quote below made me cry as soon as I read it. 

"Your toddler will do what they need to do, and not necessarily what you say. If you're patient, then they will be patient. If you speak gently, then they will be gentle. Whatever you want them to be, you have to start becoming."

  2. Just what I needed to hear - with 2 littlies and another on the way bad days seem to be far more frequent than they really should be - I definitely need to be more patient and more gentle! Thank you for this lovely quote. Hope your day improves. Leanne xxxx

  3. I know how you feel! I've been having a tough time with my son lately, which I blogged about recently. A kind person left a comment recommending a book, "Buddhism for Mothers: a calm approach to caring for yourself and your children". I liked the sound of it so went straight out and bought it. So far I have only just read the first few pages, but I'm hoping it will give me some tips for staying sane!

  4. I am very sorry to hear your having a bad day. Two days ago I was telling my mother that we should all be warned that part of motherhood includes constant heartache. You will make it through.. When I'm upset I just try to remember that when they're toddlers, it is just as difficult {if not more} for them to communicate their needs to us as it is for us to understand them.. I believe what sometimes comes out as tantrums is simply frustration.. I can understand frustration.. I belive all mothers are unable to remain calm and patient all the time.. but hopefully just talking about it and knowing your not alone will help? I hope it does... Take care and I look forward to another post from you soon.. And I know tomorrow will bring you a better day...
