  11. wow - what a wonderful idea and so beautifully timed for me as I am in the process of planning my little angel Byron's 1st birthday!

My favourite element of the special party you planned for Camilla was the shared activity of decorating the cupcakes! I love to see moments like these shared between little friends in the true spirit of celebrating children and their magical milestones! I especially loved that some of the girls chose to take their cupcakes home to share and spread the joy with their families.

Thank you for creating such a gorgeous competition Sharnel

  14. Thanks for offering a great giveaway!

Being a chocoholic myself the shot the shows the whole dessert table and it's abundance of chocolate really speaks to me ;)

However my favourite part of the party I think would have to be the colour combination and how it was carried through from the little blue ball on the cupcakes to the polka dot placemats, to the gorgeous bunting.

    Beautiful party!
    xx

  15. I loved the cupcake decorating table and the sweet boxes with the bow tied around them.

  17. I love that Camilla's party captured '11' being 11, feeling 11...
Fun but very classic, not OTT and 'kiddy', cause we all know that you not a kid anymore when your 11, but still amazingly enchanting and exciting for a little girl (and big ones alike)

The Chocolate theme - eating and drinking and working (decorating cupcakes) with Chocolate what could be better!
Couple with the turquoise just made this the feminine party every little woman would dream off.
    Nicely Done AGAIN!

  31. Oh Sharnel, I feel like a winner from just knowing you... but winning a few fun prizes couldn't hurt! =)
My favorite element from Camilla's party was YOU! You are the one who made magic happen by pulling each element together!
Ok, and if that doesn't count, then my favorite element was the color scheme itself. So fresh, and girly, but in a modern way.

    ReplyDelete
  32. I LOVE the biscuits - amazing and brilliant idea to make them coloured to match the colour theme of the party! You rock!

    ReplyDelete
  33. My favourite element was the fact that you organised an activity for the girls to do that was engaging, artistic, mature, fun and most of all it was all about them. Their cake to design how they wanted and then they were allowed to EAT it :)
    Loved it !

    ReplyDelete
  34. Wow that is just beautiful. I love how everthing tied in together - so perfect and she will remember it for ages to come! I particularly love the cupcake decorating activity for the girls - what a fabulous party it must have been! Erin De Monte

  36. I think the details in the picture with the straws showing a little card reading 'petite cupcake' is what made me smile the most. I am always delighted to see my language being used to add character to a decor. So that little touch is really really cute to me.
But everything in this giveaway is neat. The straws, those amazing butting banners!
But for me, the little note card with 'petite cupcake' is the cutest details of them all!

    ReplyDelete
  37. Well as you already know, i love the skirted table cloth and bunting. It is all fantastic, but its those extra special details which really stand out to me and make SDD stand out :)

  38. Sharnel, what a truly gorgoeus birthday party you created. I would have to say I loved the overall 'wow' factor that just jumps out at you when you look at the dessert table, it was stunning and very appropriate for an 11 year old. I did however love the cupcake design on the custom lolly bags, just beautiful!!!

  43. wow, what a lucky little girl to have had this beautiful party organised for her! I love every element, so hard to choose. I love the styling of the food table! It's picture perfect!

    ReplyDelete
  44. What a beautiful party there are so many elements that are fantastic that I love. Your dessert table is amazing as well as all of the other details but believe it or not my most favorite element is the panels behind the dessert table I think it really sets things off. Also thank you for showing me where to buy bunting from I was thinking of making some for my twins nursery but I may buy it now.

    ReplyDelete
  45. Oh wow! How to choose a favourite?? Love the choc milk bottles with stripey straws, the macaron tower, the choc balls around the cake ..... are they giant maltesers?? But most of all I think I love the use of the turquoise colour. Gorgeous in the tablecloth and co-ordinating backdrop and pom poms. Not a typical girly colour and yet it created a very elegant and sophisticated girly party...with blue! It matches beautifully with the dark brown chocolate... but then again is there a colour that doesn't work with chocolate??...mmmmm .. yum!! The turquoise definitely does it for me - a deisgn winner ...as always Sharnel! PS Having two girls I am almost beside myself waiting in anticipation of the pics for Olivia's enchanted woodland party. Toadstool love ... Julie ☺

  53. Good luck on your new venture! My sister and I were oohing and aahing (via Google messages) about Camilla's party the other day. I love the giant white balloons and the concept of the decorate-it-yourself cupcakes. I know I would have loved that when I was a kid (and I still would).

    ReplyDelete
  54. The use of colour has got to be my fave element.
Turquoise & Brown how unusual for a 11year olds birthday...when pink is the only colour considered for a girls party.
Every detail used is posh! Well done on such a lovely setting and what looks like decadent food too :0)

    ReplyDelete
  55. Simple as it is, I just love those straws in the chocolate milk.

  59. Sharnel - you are an amazingly talented women and a credit to the event industry in Queensland. Although this stunning party deserves every element mentioned and adored, my favourite element would be the chocolate. What girl doesn't love chocolate and to have a whole party dedicated to just that would be devine, especially at 11. I just hope I can pull something off as good for my son's 4th birthday! Thanks again for another inspirational event.

    ReplyDelete
  60. Just one? I love love love the custom tablecloth!

    ReplyDelete
  61. I loved all the little details...the paper that lined the trays/plates...the cute little labels for the food...the symmetry of the candy bar...it's often those details that are the most time consuming, but it's also those details that pull the whole look together. Congrats on a fabulous job!!!

    ReplyDelete
  62. Oh Sharnel you parties are amazing! It all looks wonderful- how happy Camilla must have been. If I had to choose my favourite element then it would have to be the macarons - I am obsessed by them at the moment!

    ReplyDelete
  63. It would have to be the stripy straws. Reminds me of the paper straws you'd get as a kid down at the milk bar where a milkshake cost about 80c! Those were the days ... ;-)

    ReplyDelete
  64. The straws of course are great but the perfectly even amount of chocolate milk in each glass jar is simply mind blowing! Good eye girlfriend!

    ReplyDelete
  65. I definitely love the colour scheme most! It ties everything together so well, and isn't a cliche for a teenage girl!
    Gorgeous!

  73. Sharnel you continue to create such beautiful dessert tables. I loved the way you displayed the macaroons, the tower really helped to make the table. I love the straws, so much so I own them in red and white. But I would have to say my favourite detail was the balloons. I am a huge fan of the giant balloon, we have used them to back a party table as you have, around a present to give the wrapping a little something and have sent them to friend with kids for fun. Keep up the great work Martha and Amy would be proud.

    ReplyDelete
  74. Truly, pulling teeth would be easier than picking my favourite element. The pom poms, oh the pom poms. The detail in the blue ribbon and polka dot brown paper and the beautiful table cloth and the striped blue backbaords. The white balloons suspended just right and the straws, oh my goodness, the straws. Love it all. Simply can't choose.

  78. I love the ruffle table covers! Everything was so cute!

    ReplyDelete
  79. Love those straws and choccy milk!! Your ideas are great and very well executed :D

    ReplyDelete
  80. My favorite element was how you tied everything together from the chocolate milk in actual milk bottle, with blue, white striped straws, then using chocolate brown and blue in the color decorations from beginning to end, not sure what the invitations looked like, but i am sure they were lovely. But my ABSOLUTE favorite is the individual white boxes, with the blue ribbon-perfect!

    ReplyDelete
  81. My favourite element from the party would have to be the cupcake decorating in the cupcake boxes, Im planning to do similar at one of my boys parties but not quite as flash.
(Here in Perth, WA the bottles the milk is in seem to be sold out at a few places, I went looking the other day and as Old Mother Hubbard would say the shelves were bare.)

  82. Wow! What was not to love? I loved everything and so would my daughter if I threw her a party like that! I love the blue and chocolate. Everything was perfect!

    ReplyDelete
  87. Oh my goodness, I can only pick one? The oversized balloons? The tiered macaroons? The striped straws in the bottles of milk? The pretty boxes of cupcakes? I loved it all!

    ReplyDelete
  88. Not surprisingly your decorating, colour scheme, ideas and presentation were all utterley fabulour as always Sharnell but the one thing I have to commend you on the most was getting 25 young ladies together for such an event!

I know what it's like trying to get any age groups of women together so to manage 25 of them and to please them as well as you did is worthy of an award!

  97. HIi Sharnel,

You are one very talented lady!

I have to say that my favourite element of Camilla's 11th Birthday Bash was the table cloth.

I spent a whole week sewing and gathering a 4 tiered table cover in hot pink, orange, apple green and yellow, I thought it looked beautiful. Then when I saw this one I just loved it. The design is so simple and elegant it really sets the scene, rather than distracting from it.

Well done! Thank you for sharing your brilliant ideas with us - something to aspire for!

    ReplyDelete
  98. Right about now I want one of those choccy milks and macaroons, please. I know this was for an 11yr old, but at 33 I want one of these!! Fabulous job Sharnel.

    ReplyDelete
  99. My fav element is the stripe element, each time I look at the photo's I find another item that actually has stripes. Its funny how it really makes you start to examine the photo's for details. Love the colour scheme too.

    ReplyDelete
  100. LOVED the background with balloons and the wrapped favor box...super cute party!!!

    ReplyDelete
  101. The macaron stand is just divine. I want to jump right in and sample each type!
