9th Wedding Anniversary

Today we are celebrating our 9th Wedding Anniversary.  Hey, we've had our ups and downs (who hasn't) but I am truly the most contented I've ever been.

I have a wonderful, loving husband and two gorgeous kids that I get to kiss goodnight each and every night.  I live in my dream home and wake up each and everyday and think how lucky I am.

I have the most wonderful group of girlfriends, who I just love spending time with.

Life is good.

Cheeky filled weekend

Whatever you are doing this weekend, have fun doing it!  I'll be toilet training.  Yep, what fun.

Busy week

I've had such a productive week and I feel great for it. A lovely friend offered to come over and help re-organise some of the rooms in our house. We overhauled three rooms in just over fours hours. I cannot even start to explain how good I felt at the end of the session. We pulled together our guest room, cleaned out and reorganised the childrens playroom together with my studio. I'll post some photos very soon, promise.

I've also just completed my first two tier cake and I'm really happy with how it turned out. It's very preppy and I do love a bit of prep! I must admit though, I'm all sugared out!  A few late nights later and here are the results......

Horsing around

A few weeks ago we visited the annual Pet Expo in Brisbane. Blink and you'll miss it. We don't normally frequent this type of event, however the kids loved the animals and that's what it's all about right? Right.
The highlight - Dancing with Dogs. I kid you not. OMG. That's all I have to say about that.

Speaking of felt goodies......

We received a parcel yesterday full of hairclips and other goodies from the most gorgeous company GiddyGiddy.

Their hair clips are the best.  They don't fall out and their designs are just so pretty.   We even got a cute little hair clip holder to keep Olivia's hair clip stash all neat and tidy.  I'm actually going to try and make one myself.  If it's a success I'll post a photo for you all to see.

New artwork love

Anna at ABT has just posted some amazing artwork by Holly Farrell. I instantly fell in love with these book paintings too.  

However, I also love these sweet little girls dresses. Oh how I'd love to hang on of these in Olivia's room.




Holly's work is so realistic. I, just like Anna, thought they were photographs too at first glance. This is another of my faves.

I'm back

Hello everyone!  I've been missing in action for a few weeks.  Life has been busy.  I've been away for a few weekends down south (loved every minute of it) and basically just busy with my family and house stuff.

We moved onto 2.5 acres late last year and the lawn alone takes three days to cut.  Not full days of course, but afternoons.  First I use the ride on, then the push mower and finally the whipper snipper.  I actually love mowing, it's very therapeutic!

I've also been busy baking (as always).  I thought I'd share with you a new sweet treat we are adding to our little business - sugar cookies!

I love Easter, I think it's the colours that get me everytime.
