Baby Shower

A few weeks ago I was fortunate enough to be asked to style a baby shower for Peekaboo Magazine. Here is a little taste of what's to come. How gorgeous is that real mama to be? And she was a delight to work with too.

A year ago my Nana handed down to me two of the green chairs I used in this shoot. Nan and Pop used to take them on family camping trips to the beach. I also have a set of pale coral chairs too. I love them for many reasons.

Just in case you aren't aware. Tracey is a mother of five and cooks, bakes, crafts, styles and photographs everything herself. I'm in awe of her fabulousness.

A little letterbox love

I wanted to send a huge thank you and shout out to Gaby at Love to Celebrate in Roseville NSW for being to kind to send Olivia and I a little surprise in the mail.

Gaby contacted me via email after reading my blog and wanted to send us some party pretties she thought would suit Olivia's Enchanted Woodland birthday bash.

I've been slowly getting everything together for Olivia's party this coming weekend. Because I started planning quite a few months ago, I'm not feeling too much stress a week out. Everything is on track apart from a few things that should have arrived from overseas that haven't. Even though I ordered them over a month ago. Can't be helped, so I've plan B in the back of my mind just incase they don't turn up on Friday.

Over the weekend we lay all the costumes out and started to attach name tags. Olivia is so excited and this is exactly why I love doing what I do.

Fab Find: dixie cups and lanterns

I'm sure these new designs from Robert Gordon Australia will be oohh'd and aaahhh'd over when they hit the shelves.

I can just imagine a girlie garden soiree with these pretty lanterns hanging from the branches. And of course, matching fans to help stay cool.

I've long admired this Ice Cream themed Baby Shower designed my Jordan at Polka Dot Prints. I thought these new dixie cups (also by Robert Gordon) would tie in perfectly.

I thought you might like to see the invitations for Olivia's 6th Birthday.

Sarah from Style Me Gorgeous and I collaborated on the design and we are both really happy with how they turned out. There will be a range of printables available in Sarah's online shop that will co ordinate with the invite in a few weeks time.

I wanted to really capture the imagination of the guests and get them excited about the upcoming party. From the start I new I wanted to incorporate terrariums into the theme and what better way to have them make an appearance right at the start! Each guest received their invite and a terrarium.

I need to thank Siobhan, Tracey and Danielle for helping me with these little treasures. Your input was very much appreciated.

Feeling a little blue

Both Olivia and I have tonsillitis for the second time in two weeks, so I'm feeling a little under the weather. I'm hocked up to the eyeballs in pain killers at present watching Barbie Maraposa. I know, it's sounds fun doesn't it.

Second week of school holidays. Locked in house for a week with Dad who needs constant care. Husband in Africa. Good times!
