I have a thing for bench seating in kitchens at the moment. It makes me feel all homely and safe. Makes me want to sit and chat with family and friends all day. If you have some more "bench seat love", can you send the link my way?

ReplyDeleteThanks Patrica, Simone and Tracey.
ReplyDeleteI totally agree Tracey, such a fantastic way to introduce fabric into the kitchen. Kitchens can be quite impersonal sometimes.
I love the first one, like REALLY love it.
ReplyDeleteI love it, do you know where can I get those built-in bench? or who can make them?
ReplyDeleteGorgeous photos! What company installs bench seating?
ReplyDeleteWell that would depend on where you lived Michelle.
ReplyDeleteBut any cabinet maker and upholsterer could make them.
I love this post! It's the best and one of the only posts I could find on bench seating. It's been a great reference for a kitchen/nook area that I'm working on right now. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteI, too, am addicted to built in seating, ever since I stayed with a family in Switzerland for three weeks, where the grandfather was an amazing carpenter and did this beautiful carved wood table and built-in bench. Exquisite. In fact, it was in searching for a replica 15 years later that I stumbled across this post! I promise to forward the link if I ever find it...
ReplyDeleteThis is what I plan to do in my new house- building a Deltec home in a few months.
