Would love your input

I'm looking at a few antique pieces for our home at the moment. First off the rank is a chest of drawers for my husband. This will be placed in our bedroom.
Any input on the three pieces below would be much appreciated!

  1. My abosulute favorite is the second one. You wouldnt have to change a thing. If you go with the first though, I would love it with different paint or hardware. Love you blog by the way! I am a new follower.

  2. ooh that's a hard one - I do love them all but considering it's for Mr D. then I would choose the last one - the darkest one, it seems more masculine :o)

  3. Hmmmm....I really like them all...but my favorite is the top one. Looks French to me and has that masculine, yet sophisticated flair. Good luck. I am a new follower...love the blog! Sandy

  4. I agree with Keren, definately the 3rd one for the 'dude' of the house ..... needs something masculine.

  5. These are all gorgeous and I'd have any of them in my room, but I agree with Lily and Keren, the 3rd chest of drawers definitely has a slightly more masculine look to it and might be just the ticket. Good luck with the decision (such a lovely decision to have to make!). Lee :)

  6. I am going for the last one. I think it is really simple and classic.

  7. I think I like the 2nd one best ~ it is more masculine I think.

  8. I agree it's a tough choice but the third one is lovely for the man of the house. I like the unusual shape at the bottom. A lot of bad reproductions have been made with similar shapes to option one and two, so I think the third would hold it's own better. It is also a nice contrast to the other items in your divine home.

  10. I am somewhere between 1th and 3th . Difficult decision. Last one looks very Italian and they can look quite "heavy" but on other side masculine and the stain is lovely.
If it it for my place I would go for first one.

  11. Thank you everyone for your input.
Viera you are right, it is Italian and it's a huge piece. 149.5cm wide x 74cm deep x 109cm high. We have a large room though.
I'm inbetween 1 and 3 myself. There is a big price difference too.
First one $3,800 and the third $8,000.
Hmmm I'm just not sure. Back into the think tank.

  13. go for the 1st one...better price, nice lines and more versatile...if you're anything like me it'll possibly have a new purpose in the future (if you ever move) sometimes you've gotta' think like that. that's my 2 cents, anyway. sure do enjoy your blog, by the way.

  17. they are all beautiful but I love the last one most -it is so classic and masculine looking - it seems like the type of piece that will gain in value too.

  18. I pick # 3 which seems much more masculine and unnderstated than #1 which I also like. They are both beautiful but #1 maybe a little too ornate depending on the rest of the decor of the room...why oh why are my prefrences always the most expensive item. I am sure whichever you choose it will look wonderful.
