A little bedroom love

I've just discovered the work of interior designer Kristen Buckingham via Little Green Notebook and I'm smitten.

I wish I'd seen this photo before building our house. I just love the little alcove bookshelves. I think this sort of feature in a new build home gives it character and lends itself to feeling the house has been there a little longer than it really has.

This whimsical lamp base would look right at home in my daughter's bedroom. Isn't it the cutest?

I'm currently on the look out for a sweet shelf similar to this one to hang in Olivia's room.  I'm open to all ideas: buying it complete, having it made or finding a vintage shelf that needs a little lovin'.  This gorgeous one is from Cox and Cox in the UK, found via ABT.

The one below is available in Australia from The Princess and the Pea but is only 77cm wide, so if anyone knows of where I could find a pretty little shelf please drop me a line.

Pretty in Pink

I'm loving these two rooms from designer Joe Nye.  I do love me a bit of pink!
Aren't those cushions just to die for.  Two of my faves all rolled into one - pink + silhouettes = heaven!

Marvelous Martha

All images Martha Stewart via Frolic.

I'm loving these images from the latest Martha Stewart Weddings mag via Frolic.
Wouldn't a strawberry themed wedding be the sweetest thing?  My fave would have to be the takeaway table centrepieces.

Preppy Pop

Image via Domino

For those of you that know me, you will understand how excited I was when I saw this FABULOUS lounge room from Mary McDonald's Hollywood guesthouse.  Yes, you heard me correctly, her guesthouse!
I have a slight grosgrain ribbon co-dependency you see.  And if I ever wanted to live in a house made of grosgrain, and seriously the thought has crossed my mind, this is what it would look like.
Her inspiration perhaps?

Do yourself a favour and pop on over to Domino and indulge in one of the most clever interiors I've seen.
My other fave rooms include:

Front entry - lovin' that portico

I'm a sucker for seersucker - drooling over deep buttoned sofa

Traditional cabinetry with geometric walls - pure genius!
