One more Janet Hill

Here is my latest Janet Hill purchase.  To say that I love her (Zelda is her name) is an understatement.  At present she is resting on top of our mantle, however there are a few walls in our home she would look perfect on.

More artist love

Still Life with Flowers and Moth

Camile

I can't get these gorgeous watercolours out of my head.  They are the work of Brooklyn artist,
Bella Foster.  I think Camile would look lovely in my daughter's bedroom.  It reminds me of her alot.

More artwork love

Ever since I read about Canadian artist Janet Hill I've been obsessed with her little treasures. Janet normally offers one or two paintings a day on etsy but you have to be quick! I've been been pipped at the post a few times during the check out process.

Here is a collection of Janet's paintings I have hanging in my studio office at home. I purchased the desk from eBay. But what I love the most is my chair. It's an antique captains chair from the 1800's also purchased on eBay.

Jumping in the deep end

I've been procrastinating about starting a personal blog for too long now. So here I am. I've done it. Finally.

My Life - My Loves is a journal about my everyday life, my passions and my family. Down the track, I plan to print my ramblings into book form, via Blurb. I could never quite get my head around scrapbooking, so blogging will be my way of scrapbooking. A more chic way too, I feel.

My latest obsession is artist Kaffe Fassett. I can't get enough of his paintings. His use of colour is what I love most. Here are a few of my favourites.

Fingers crossed that one day I will own a piece of his art. With the dollar the way it is at the moment, it's not looking too promising. Anyway, I can dream can't I?
