Camilla's Birthday - chocolate and turquoise

Here are some images from Camilla's 11th Birthday party. What are fantastic afternoon! Oh and how gorgeous is this home? Super gorgeous I tell you. You should see the artwork on the walls .... to die for. Most importantly though, the family that lives in this house is warm, generous, loving and just as gorgeous as the house itself.

25 eleven year olds full to the eyeballs with chocolate, squealing in absolute delight. The party theme was chocolate so we decided to host a chocolate cupcake decorating party. Each guest was given two cupcakes to decorate after a little demonstration by me.

While this was happening the girls happily sipped on chocolate milk and munched on fresh sushi. So many of the guests commented on how much fun it was decorate their own cupcakes. Many devoured them then and there, others chose to take theirs home to share.

After the decorating was complete, out came a chocolate fountain with fresh strawberries and cherries to dip. OMGoodness, how good where the cherries and chocolate! And what a mess they made. I didn't get any photos of this, but believe me they enjoyed themselves. Some where even drinking the chocolate straight out of the fountain with their stripey straws. Note to self: must try that at Max Brenner next time I'm there.

I'll be back tomorrow to share more photos with you.

In the news

I was contacted a few weeks back by the Sunday Mail (South Australia) Home Mag to share some party planning tips. Here is the article. Hmmm, not exactly what I said, but hey what can you do. Oh and the web address is wrong. It's going to be www.sharneldollardesigns.com.au. But it's not live yet, all in good time.

Another party, another theme!

With all that's going on in our little world at the moment, I'm thankful I have my son's 4th birthday to distract me from reality for just a little while.
I absolutely love pinwheels and the colour combo of navy and kelly green for a boy. It's so preppy and masculine at the same time.
I made a big dent in constructing the pinwheels last night with the help of my daughter.
I can't wait to share with you all the little details of William's birthday celebration.

On Sunday we celebrated William's 3rd Birthday with a Wild Animal themed party.  The highlight of the day was a presentation from Gecko's Wildlife.  We had two snakes, a crocodile, three lizards, a frog, a tawny frog mouthed owl, two turtles and a squirrel glider in our house.  The kids were absolutely mesmerised for an entire hour.
We also hired a jumping castle which has become a staple at our birthday parties.  The pool was also a hit.

Happy Birthday Dennis the Menace

My son turned three today.   I've seen some subtle changes in him over the past few days.  A little more sure of himself.  He has also decided that hopping is the only way to move around the house.  Super cute if you ask me.  But hey, I have to think he's cute don't I?
Hope you had a wonderful day my little man.  Love you to the moon and back.
