African Safari

I thought I'd share with you where Perry and I are going to stay during our adventure to the Okavango in Botswana. This will be my sixth trip to Africa and during that time we have travelled all over Zimbabwe, Zambia, South Africa, Kenya, Tanzania, Botswana and Namibia.

For one week Perry, my father-in-law and I will travel to the Okavango in Botswana. We will be staying at Mombo Camp, on the northern tip of Chief's Island within the Moremi Game Reserve in the Okavango Delta. The camp is built under large shady trees and overlooks an open floodplain area that boasts enormous concentrations of plains game and large predators - lions in particular - providing what is arguably the best big game viewing in Botswana.
I'm excited ...... are you???? hehehehe

  1. Mombo is such an amazing camp, I know you're going to have an out of this world experience. Enjoy, take lots of piccies. Also try to visit the Rhino Operation that Mombo are operating, it will forever be remembered by you. Wilderness (Mombo) and the Botswana Defence Force have teamed up to reintroduce rhinos to Botswana. Have fun and report back!

  3. How wonderful, I love lions, cats big and small are my absolute fave...please post some photos of the wild cats on your return. It is my dream to visit Africa and do a safari like you will be doing, hopefully one day, but somehow, having a French husband, our overseas trips tend to be very, well, French...still lovely though...have a splendid time.
